Abstract
In an increasingly interconnected world, effective intercultural communication has become a vital component of education. This article explores how globalization has amplified cultural diversity in educational settings and examines the challenges, importance, and strategies associated with intercultural communication in global education. Drawing on recent research, it highlights common challenges such as language barriers and cultural misunderstandings, and underscores the importance of intercultural communication competence (ICC) for student success and global citizenship. The discussion also outlines strategies for improving intercultural communication in international classrooms, study abroad programs, and online learning environments. By synthesizing insights from the past decade of educational research, the article provides a cohesive understanding of how educators and institutions can foster intercultural competence and create more inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments.
