Abstract
Teaching English vocabulary to preschool children requires innovative, age-appropriate, and engaging methods that correspond to young learners’ cognitive and emotional development. One of the most effective approaches in early childhood education is game-based learning. This article explores the significance of teaching English vocabulary through games in preschool education, analyzes theoretical foundations, and discusses practical classroom applications. The study highlights how games enhance motivation, improve vocabulary retention, and support natural language acquisition. The article also examines the role of teachers in selecting appropriate games and provides recommendations for effective vocabulary instruction through play.
