Abstract
This article explores the cultural and historical aspects of symbols and signs in Russian and Uzbek cultures within the context of their function in the modern information space. The main symbols and signs related to historical and cultural traditions are examined, along with their origins and significance for national identity. The impact of globalization and digital media on the perception and transformation of symbols, as well as their adaptation to new conditions, is analyzed. Special attention is given to preserving cultural identity in the context of information exchange and the challenges symbols face in the globalization process. The study highlights the importance of symbolism for understanding the values and worldviews of various peoples.
