Abstract

Intrauterine infections are one of the serious pathologies that cause the death of babies. This article analyzes the pathomorphological changes in the thymus of babies who died from intrauterine infection. Changes in the thymus affect the functioning of the immune system, reducing the ability to fight infection. The article describes various stages of pathomorphological changes and their connection with intrauterine infections.
