Abstract
Khaled Hosseini's novel The Kite Runner (2003) is a multi-layered work in which questions of morality, duty and the internal struggles of the characters become central themes. One of the key axiological concepts of the novel is devotion, which is revealed through the complex relationships between the characters, their personal values and the cultural traditions of Afghanistan.
