Abstract

The article is dedicated to a comprehensive study of reciprocity in foreign linguistics. It examines the main theoretical approaches, typology, and semantic features of reciprocal constructions in various languages. Attention is given to the syntactic, semantic, cognitive, and pragmatic aspects of the phenomenon, as well as the diversity of reciprocal construction types and their functions. Special focus is placed on the analysis of marking strategies for reciprocity, including morphological, lexical, and syntactic means used across different languages. Factors influencing the choice of specific constructions, such as context, pragmatic goals, and linguistic system features, are also explored. The importance of studying reciprocity is emphasized, highlighting its role in deepening the understanding of mechanisms for expressing mutuality in language. The study draws attention to the prospects for further research, underscoring its contribution to expanding knowledge about the interconnection between language and culture, as well as the universal and specific features of reciprocal constructions across linguistic families.
