Abstract
This article analyzes the specifics of national and international assessment systems in determining the level of student achievement at the primary education stage. The article enumerates the purpose, content, methodology and results of evaluation systems and international evaluation programs (PIRLS, PISA, TIMSS) in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The effectiveness of evaluation systems, their impact on the quality of teaching and suggestions for improvement are presented.
