Abstract

this article focuses on the development of communicative competence in the training of philological (English) specialists. In today's era of advanced technologies, it is necessary for a foreign language specialist to have a high level of professional competence, to have the ability to think creatively, conduct research, and to regularly acquire knowledge and conduct research. This requires the teacher to constantly improve himself and adapt to modern pedagogical methods. The concept of "competence" is defined by scientists as "knowledge, skills, abilities, values, personal qualities of people, the manifestation of positive results in activity." The communicative concept is manifested in the linguistic, speech and socio-cultural aspects of general competence.
