Abstract

This article explores the distinctive features of managing private higher education institutions (HEIs) in Uzbekistan, highlighting their role within the national education system and examining key challenges and development opportunities. The author discusses critical management elements such as institutional autonomy, financial independence, and a student-centered approach. The paper gives particular emphasis to the difficulties faced by private HEIs, including competitive pressure, public perception, financial stability, and regulatory constraints. It also incorporates statistical data from Uzbekistan alongside international case studies, offering comparative insights. Furthermore, the article outlines future development paths such as educational digitalization, collaboration with the business sector, and international outreach. It concludes by underscoring the significance of strategic management and the need for private HEIs to effectively adapt to evolving global and local challenges.
