Abstract
Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is a common autoimmune thrombophilia characterized by the presence of antibodies that bind to phospholipids and phospholipid-associated proteins. These antibodies contribute to endothelial dysfunction, platelet activation, and an imbalance in the coagulation system. Consequently, micro- and macrothrombotic events occur in the microvasculature, impairing placental blood flow and leading to recurrent miscarriages. This paper presents a study conducted on women with pregnancy loss associated with APS.
