Abstract

This article highlights the issues of forming emotional intelligence in children and analyzes the development of an individual's emotional and social competencies as an important factor in the modern educational process. The study scientifically substantiates the ways of forming the main components of emotional intelligence - awareness of one's emotions, management, empathy, and social communication skills. The article analyzes how the family environment, the preschool and primary education system, and the emotional culture of teachers and parents influence children's emotional development. Effective methods of developing emotional intelligence through game activity, art, music, and creative activities are also proposed. The research results show that the targeted development of emotional intelligence in children from an early age increases their personal stability, social adaptation, and learning motivation.
