Abstract
This article analyzes the development trends of social sciences within the education system of Uzbekistan, focusing on their current state of instruction and methodological foundations. The study evaluates the role of social sciences in education, the content of curricula, the pedagogical approaches applied, and the extent of digital technology integration based on empirical data. The results of surveys and document analysis indicate that while theoretical knowledge in social sciences is sufficiently developed, practical training, interactive teaching methods, and approaches aimed at fostering critical thinking remain inadequate. The findings scientifically substantiate the necessity of improving social science education through competency-based, student-centered, and innovative pedagogical models.
