Abstract
The article presents a holistic examination of human thought and speech development as a single process that begins in the mother's womb and continues throughout childhood, school, and student years. Speech and thinking are analyzed not only as cognitive functions but also as mechanisms for the formation of behavior and personality as a whole. A special place is given to school age, in which game activity acts as the most important means of developing thinking and speech
