Abstract
The use of authentic materials in English language teaching has gained significant attention in modern pedagogy due to its effectiveness in enhancing learners’ communicative competence. Authentic materials refer to real-life texts, audio, and visual resources that are not specifically designed for language instruction but are used for educational purposes. This article explores the role, advantages, and challenges of using authentic materials in teaching English, as well as practical strategies for their effective integration into the classroom. The findings suggest that authentic materials improve learners’ motivation, cultural awareness, and language proficiency, making them an essential component of contemporary language teaching methodologies.
