Abstract
In the context of the transition to a knowledge-based economy, ensuring the financial sustainability of higher education institutions (HEIs) has become a key priority. This study examines the mechanisms for enhancing financial sustainability in Uzbekistan’s higher education system based on the analysis of investment dynamics, institutional development and performance indicators. The results reveal a strong positive relationship between investment growth, expansion of higher education institutions, and increased revenues. The study identifies key mechanisms, including diversification of funding sources, performance-based financing, digital financial management, and university-industry collaboration. The findings highlight that strengthening investment sustainability and modern financial management practices is essential for improving the long-term stability and competitiveness of HEIs.
