Abstract

The transition to a green economy requiressubstantial financial investments to support sustainableinfrastructure, renewable energy, and eco-friendlytechnologies. This study examines the primary financingsources for the green economy, including public funding, private investments, green bonds, and international climatefinance. Using statistical data from the World Bank,International Energy Agency (IEA), and Climate BondsInitiative, we analyze trends, challenges, and opportunitiesin green financing. Our findings indicate that while greenbond issuances and private sector participation aregrowing, significant gaps remain in funding accessibility, particularly in developing nations. Policyrecommendations include enhancing public-privatepartnerships, improving regulatory frameworks, andincreasing transparency in green finance mechanisms.
