Abstract
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan share deep historical, cultural, and linguistic ties, which have shaped their long-standing relations. Over the years, cooperation between these nations has grown, particularly in education and science, due to shared goals and the political will of both governments. Despite extensive bilateral engagements, detailed analyses of educational cooperation and its outcomes remain limited. This study aims to explore and evaluate the evolution and current dynamics of Uzbek-Tajik cooperation in the educational sector, focusing on policy developments, institutional collaborations, and academic exchange programs. SThe research highlights significant milestones, such as bilateral agreements, the establishment of joint programs, inter-university partnerships, and increased academic mobility. Notable achievements include the organization of joint forums, memorandums of understanding between institutions, and the restoration of infrastructure for educational cooperation. The article presents a comprehensive synthesis of developments in educational cooperation backed by recent data, forums, and government-level initiatives, including the 2024 rectors' forum. The findings underscore the strategic importance of strengthening educational ties for regional stability, scientific advancement, and cultural integration. Sustained collaboration in education not only enhances academic quality but also fosters mutual understanding and long-term regional development. The study recommends expanding joint programs, improving the training of scientific personnel, and initiating innovative educational projects to deepen bilateral cooperation.
