The location of industrial enterprises is considered an important factor in the rational use of economic resources, optimization of the transport and logistics system, balancing the labor market and ensuring regional stability. The study systematically analyzes the main problems of location - uneven distribution of production capacities, unbalanced development of infrastructure, centralization of investment flows, migration of labor resources and disruption of the ecological balance. Along with the theoretical foundations of these problems, the article covers scientifically based directions for solving them, including clustering, the "smart location" model, mechanisms for forming innovative infrastructure and sustainable energy systems.
