Abstract
This article analyzes the relationship between the growth in the number of graduates of higher education institutions and changes in the employment level in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Although a significant increase in the number of highly educated personnel was observed during 2014–2024, it was determined that the growth of the employment level is relatively slow and stable in nature. The research results indicate that the level of compatibility between the higher education system and the labor market is insufficient. Also, the impact of the pandemic period is separately evaluated, and the influence of economic factors on employment is revealed.
