Abstract
Alzheimer's disease is the leading cause of dementia and is fast becoming one of the most costly, deadly and burdensome diseases of this century. Since the publication of the workshop in 2016, there have been important developments in the understanding of the underlying pathology, the recognition of multiple causative and protective genes, the identification of new blood and imaging biomarkers, and the first warning signs of positive disease effects. - modifying therapies and lifestyle changes.
