The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing global pandemic of COVID-19 coronavirus infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The outbreak was first reported in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 On 30 January 2020, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern on 30 January 2020 and a pandemic on 11 March. As of 20 December 2020, more than 77.1 million cases have been reported worldwide during the pandemic; more than 1.698 million people have died and more than 54.02 million have recovered.
