Abstract

Listening is a fundamental skill in language acquisition and plays a crucial role in developing overall communicative competence. This article explores effective listening strategies that help learners improve comprehension, retention, and interpretation of spoken language. It also examines the role of cognitive, metacognitive, and interactive strategies in enhancing listening performance in both academic and real-life contexts. The study highlights practical approaches for learners and teachers to improve listening skills systematically.
