Abstract

The problem of preventing postoperative purulent complications in abdominal surgery remains relevant to this day. This is mainly due to the increase in the number of complex operations using modern technologies, the increase in the volume and duration of surgical interventions, increased tissue damage and blood loss, which contributes to the development of postoperative infectious complications, primarily wound infection. Treatment of wound infection requires additional costs and significantly increases the patient's stay in the hospital.
