Abstract
This article reviews the current methods and importance of early screening for retinoblastoma, a rare but potentially fatal eye cancer primarily affecting young children. Through comprehensive literature analysis, this paper examines existing screening protocols, their effectiveness, and challenges in implementation across different healthcare settings. The findings highlight the critical importance of early detection through various screening methods, including the red reflex test, genetic testing, and regular ophthalmological examinations. Conclusions emphasize the need for standardized global screening protocols, increased awareness among primary healthcare providers, and improved access to specialized care, particularly in resource-limited regions. Early screening remains the most effective strategy for improving survival rates and preserving vision in affected children.
