Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the result of a combination of factors such as diet, physical inactivity, tobacco usage and harmful alcohol use Lifestyle-related risk factors: An important risk factor causing NCDs. Unhealthy diet, Physical inactivity, Tobacco consumption and Harmful use of Alcohol are major contributors to the global burden of NCDs. Our expert-based comparative study examines lifestyle-associated health hazards and chronic disease load in Samarkand and Germany based on population-level epidemiological data. Information from international public health organizations and national reports was synthesized to evaluate inequalities of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and chronic respiratory diseases. Results demonstrate that preliminarily preventable risk exposure and delay of disease detection are significantly more pronounced in Samarkand, but in Germany preventive medical service provision coverage is higher and the effective population-level risk control better. The research emphasizes the impact and potential value of regional targeted high-quality evidence-based public health interventions to prevent premature deaths related to lifestyle modifiable risks.
