Abstract

This study explores the role of technology integration in enhancing crisis management within educational settings, particularly during unforeseen disruptions such as natural disasters, pandemics, and political unrest. Technology has emerged as a critical tool in enabling educational institutions to maintain continuity of learning, facilitate communication, and manage resources effectively during crises. The research examines various technological solutions, such as learning management systems (LMS), virtual classrooms, real-time communication platforms, and data-driven decision-making tools, assessing their effectiveness in crisis response and recovery. It also investigates the role of technology in improving crisis preparedness by enabling predictive analytics, simulation-based training for educators, and better coordination among school leaders, students, and parents. Additionally, the study delves into the challenges and barriers to technology integration, including infrastructure limitations, digital literacy gaps, and the resistance to technological change in some educational environments. Through a combination of case studies and interviews with educational leaders, the study highlights how schools and universities have leveraged technology to adapt to crises, improve resilience, and enhance recovery processes. The findings underscore the importance of developing a comprehensive technology strategy that supports crisis management and ensures the sustainability of educational practices in times of uncertainty.
