Abstract
This paper examines the essential function of financial statement audits in enhancing transparency and confidence within businesses. This research analyzes the audit process and its efficacy, focusing on how audits may mitigate information asymmetry, enhance stakeholder confidence, and maintain the accuracy of financial reporting. This research employs an interdisciplinary literature review integrating perspectives from finance, economics, and computer science. This technique facilitates a more comprehensive knowledge of the audit process and its consequences.
