Abstract
This study investigates pathways for improving the strategic management of enterprises operating within the rapidly evolving digital economy, with a particular focus on transitional economies such as Uzbekistan. The proliferation of digital technologies including artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things has fundamentally restructured the competitive landscape, compelling organizations to fundamentally reconsider their strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational governance frameworks. The study aims to identify key barriers to digital transformation in strategic management, assess the effectiveness of technology adoption on enterprise performance, and propose a comprehensive framework for digitally informed strategic governance. A mixed-methods research design was employed, combining quantitative survey data collected from 214 senior managers across seven Uzbek enterprises with qualitative case study analyses. Statistical techniques including regression analysis, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM) were applied to examine relationships between digital capability maturity and strategic performance outcomes.
