Abstract

The textile industry plays a significant role in global economic development, employment generation, and international trade. However, the sector is highly exposed to numerous operational, financial, environmental, and supply chain risks. Effective risk management has therefore become an essential strategic function for textile enterprises seeking sustainability and competitiveness in dynamic global markets. This study examines the major categories of risks affecting the textile industry and evaluates modern risk management approaches adopted by textile enterprises. The research employs qualitative analysis based on a systematic literature review and comparative assessment of risk mitigation strategies. Findings indicate that supply chain disruptions, raw material price volatility, environmental regulations, and technological uncertainties represent the most critical risks in textile manufacturing. The study further highlights that integrated risk management systems, digital transformation, and sustainable production practices significantly enhance organizational resilience. The paper contributes to the growing body of literature on industrial risk management and provides practical recommendations for textile enterprises operating in emerging economies.
