Abstract

The study aims to scrutinize the theme of love and romance and its motivations in the poetry of the two poets of the pre-Islamic era (Al-Murqash Al-Akbar and Al-Murqash Al-Asghar), analyzing its artistic and thematic aspects. It focuses on the reasons and motives that led to the emergence and development of this theme in their poetry. The study addresses the concept of romantic poetry linguistically and technically, then presents an analytical reading of the most prominent love poems by the two poets, examining their artistic characteristics and semantic content. The research employs a descriptive-analytical approach to provide a comprehensive and in-depth perspective on this important aspect of pre-Islamic poetry.
