Abstract

This article analyzes the process of socio-psychological adaptation of individuals discharged from military service to civilian life. The main focus of the study is to determine the influence of the period spent in the reserve on the indicators of self-control, stress tolerance and social adaptability of the individual. The cognitive and emotional conflicts in the transition from a military environment to civilian life, as well as the rationalization mechanisms of the individual, are comparatively analyzed.
