Abstract

This article explores global forecasts regarding the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the labor market, with a particular focus on identifying professions that are likely to be eliminated, transformed, or significantly reduced, as well as emerging digital occupations that are expected to replace them. The study examines current trends in automation, machine learning, and digital transformation across various industries, including manufacturing, finance, healthcare, logistics, and service sectors. The research highlights that routine, repetitive, and low-skill jobs—such as data entry clerks, cashiers, telemarketers, and certain administrative roles—are at the highest risk of automation due to advancements in AI-driven systems and robotic process automation. At the same time, the article emphasizes that AI is not only a disruptive force but also a catalyst for job creation. New digital professions are emerging, including AI specialists, data scientists, machine learning engineers, cybersecurity analysts, digital product managers, and human-AI interaction designers. The paper also discusses the shifting skill requirements in the global workforce, stressing the growing importance of digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability. It argues that future labor markets will increasingly favor hybrid skill sets that combine technical expertise with soft skills. Furthermore, the study addresses the socio-economic implications of AI-driven changes, such as potential unemployment risks, the need for large-scale reskilling and upskilling programs, and the role of governments and educational institutions in preparing the workforce for the digital economy. Special attention is given to global forecasts and reports from international organizations, which predict both job displacement and job creation in the coming decades. The findings suggest that while AI may eliminate certain categories of work, it will simultaneously generate new opportunities that did not previously exist, ultimately reshaping the structure of employment rather than simply reducing it. The article argues that the future of work in the age of artificial intelligence depends largely on proactive adaptation strategies, investment in human capital, and the ability of societies to embrace technological change while minimizing its negative consequences..
