Reducing Unemployment: Economic Policy and Job Creation Strategies

This research examines strategies for reducing unemployment rates in Uzbekistan and the role of economic policies and job creation strategies in addressing labor market challenges. The primary aim is to analyze the effectiveness of current economic policies and explore potential improvements in creating sustainable job opportunities. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of unemployment statistics, labor market trends, and economic policies with qualitative case studies from key sectors. The findings suggest that while recent economic policies have contributed to reducing unemployment in Uzbekistan, challenges persist in terms of youth employment and the quality of jobs created. The data indicates that sectors such as agriculture, construction, and services have seen significant job growth, but industrial sectors remain underdeveloped in terms of employment generation. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of labor market policies in transitional economies. Policymakers are encouraged to focus on enhancing vocational education, expanding job creation in high-potential sectors, and developing public-private partnerships to foster innovation and employment opportunities.  The study's focus on large-scale national data may overlook regional disparities and the impact of informal labor markets.
