Abstract

This paper examines the role of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in promoting green urbanization and sustainable urban development, with a focus on economic lessons for Uzbekistan. The study analyzes international experiences from Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and South Korea, highlighting successful strategies for integrating environmental sustainability, economic efficiency, and social inclusivity. The research employs a qualitative-analytical methodology, including systematic literature review, documentary analysis, comparative case studies, and analytical synthesis. Findings indicate that PPPs enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, generate employment in green sectors, and attract domestic and foreign investment. Early initiatives in Uzbekistan, such as the “Green Space” program and energy-efficient residential projects, demonstrate the potential for adapting international best practices to the national context. The study provides practical recommendations for policymakers, including strengthening regulatory frameworks, implementing financial incentives, adopting smart city technologies, promoting knowledge transfer, engaging local communities, and establishing monitoring and evaluation systems.
