Abstract

In the period of the Kokan Khanate, exact and natural sciences lagged behind in their development from the requirements of the time, but history and historiography, literature developed more than social sciences and humanities. Historiography occupies a special place in the scientific environment formed in the time of Omar Khan. Works belonging to the Kokan school of historiography are characterised by the fact that they are written in a poetic or partially poetic manner. This situation is the result of the fact that Kokan historians were well versed in literature and even wrote poetry themselves [1.63].
