Abstract

As the global economy booms, many countries have increased their investment in entrepreneurship education for college students, aiming to improve its quality. However, the trend of international music entrepreneurship research shows that the current situation of music students' entrepreneurship in most countries is not optimistic. China has already opened more than 1,000 art-related majors at colleges and universities, becoming the largest country with art-related professional higher education in the world. As entrepreneurship education continues to progress, people are gradually realizing that relying on college students to start businesses to solve the employment problem is not realistic and is limited by various factors. From the current situation of entrepreneurship education for college students, there are shortcomings in the setting of entrepreneurship courses, the teacher team, the form of course implementation, and the practical teaching model, indicating that China's entrepreneurship education has a relatively late start; at the same time, music-related entrepreneurship education has not been widely promoted in art colleges and universities. Based on the overall entrepreneurship situation and the characteristics of demand for college students, combined with the root causes analysis, the current situation of music entrepreneurship for students of different genders, grades, and types of colleges and universities is studied. According to the research, most music majors have the intention of starting a business, but they lack entrepreneurial ability and practical conditions.
