Abstract

This research was motivated by a problem with BPKPAD staff in Balangan Regency that SIMDA could not be integrated with external applications. Therefore, sometimes government managers/staff need financial data sources that are in SIMDA but cannot be retrieved from outside SIMDA because the feature does not yet exist. Usually it can be assisted by the integration of other applications because the nature of SIMDA is closed, so sometimes the needs of government managers/staff are still not accommodated. This study uses a qualitative research approach which intends to understand the phenomenon of the effectiveness of applying SIMDA Finance in preparing financial reports at BPKPAD Balangan Regency. Informants taken in this study as many as 10 people. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques start from data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the SIMDA application at the Balangan Regency Regional Revenue and Asset Financial Management Agency has been running quite effectively. This can be seen from the employees who have understood the meaning of SIMDA, the success of the program is effective, the target success is quite effective, SIMDA user satisfaction is quite effective , and achieving the objectives is quite effective. Other factors that still affect the performance of the SIMDA application are internet speed, and input data on the Income Statement menu at the Receiving Treasurer cannot be deleted if it is Final. It is known that the results of research on the effectiveness of the financial Regional Management Information System (SIMDA) are quite effective, although there are some obstacles in the input process due to the network and application problems, therefore it is necessary to increase the network, and it is necessary to update the SIMDA Finance application for each laptop and computer. in the Finance Sub-Section so that the use of the application is even more optimal.
