Abstract
This study looks at dropout rates and enrolment trends in West Bengal, using regression analysis to understand how factors like literacy rate, GDP, per capita income, pupil-teacher ratio, number of teachers, and schools affect dropout rates from UDISE Plus data (2013-2022). Paired t-tests show significant differences between Net Enrolment Ratio (NER) and Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) for male and female students, indicating systemic issues. The findings suggest the need for targeted interventions to improve enrolment accuracy and address dropout problems in West Bengal.
