Feminist Positive Discourse Analysis of Iraqi Women Slogans

This article employs feminist positive discourse approaches to point to organized means of understanding women. Various approaches can be observed. On the macro level, thematic analysis and ideology are identified while on microlevel transitivity processes, discursive strategies, and politeness can be triggered on the selected slogans of Iraqi women. Qualitative method is employed to investigate certain slogans of universities and organization to appreciate and support the women. The study regards feminism as a tool for progress, social change, and hope. The paper concentrates on the manner of social actors and social phenomena are conceptualized in discourse to identify how change happens to evoke inspiration and hope.
