Abstrak
This study is devoted to the modern requirements for the development of English translation skills among students studying in the field of foreign language and literature. The mechanisms for the formation of students' translation skills based on modern linguodidactic approaches, competency requirements, technologies, intercultural communication, and international standards for translation were analyzed. The study studied curricula, translation theories, and advanced methods (task-based learning, corpus-based learning, and multimodal translation tools). According to the results, it was found that the effectiveness of an integrative approach, tasks based on real contexts, and the use of technological platforms in developing students' translation competence is high.
