The Influence of International Standards and the Activities of the Shooting Sports Federation of Uzbekistan on the Development of Rifle and Shotgun Shooting

The article examines the influence of international sports standards and the activities of specialized federations on the development of shooting sports. It examines the procedure of smartening up the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) demands within the national athlete training system, their significance regarding to boosting national regulatory framework, officiating and competition organization efficiency. Particular focus is on the transfer of world rules to Russian domestic specifics, the updating of material and technical base and an improvement of professional qualification of the coaches. An analysis of the involvement of Uzbek athletes in international competitions has determined that getting integrated in the world sports movement activates existing potentials and enhances competitive potential of national teams. One of the prioritized research findings proves to be that international cooperation plays an important role in sustainable development of shooting sports in Uzbekistan.
