Abstract

Sustainable tourism has emerged as a strategic approach to balance economic growth, social equity and environmental protection within the tourism sector. This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of sustainable tourism. Key definitions, conceptual frameworks and the three pillars of sustainable tourism economic viability, social equity and environmental integrity are examined. The findings highlight the importance of integrated planning, multi-level governance and stakeholder participation in achieving sustainable tourism development.
