Abstract
In order for the quality management system to work effectively, it is necessary to study the stages of quality management systems development and modern trends. In this article are described the main stages of the evolution of the quality management system of industrial enterprises and the current directions of development. In the course of the study, a comparative analysis of foreign literature was carried out.
