Abstract
The flipped classroom model has gained recognition in various educational fields, but its application in language teaching remains under-explored. This study investigates the effect of the flipped classroom approach on improving English as a Second Language (ESL) learners' writing and speaking skills. The research was conducted with intermediate-level ESL students, comparing traditional lecture-based instruction with a flipped classroom model. Results indicate that students in the flipped classroom demonstrated significantly higher improvements in both writing and speaking proficiency, as well as increased classroom engagement. These findings suggest that the flipped classroom model offers valuable opportunities for enhancing language acquisition through active learning and communication-based activities.
