Abstract

This article examines the peculiar attitude of I. A. Bunin to Orientalism, his contribution to the development of this topic, and an attempt at a philosophical analysis of his poems dedicated to the East. The essence of his “Arabic” poems is revealed as a spatial proximity to the East, which dialectically naturally turns into a strong temporal connection with the poet and the East
