Due to the restrictions imposed to stop the spread of COVID-19, most schools and universities around the world have shifted from traditional face-to-face classes to an online learning modality. Consequently, online learning and other related concepts became prominent topics to study during the pandemic. Yet, there is a scarcity of research regarding Microsoft Teams as a learning platform. This quantitative study aims to determine the perceptions of 102 students who are taking English subjects or courses on the use of Microsoft Teams as a platform for learning English in terms of interaction and learning environment using a survey questionnaire. It also explored the significant difference in the respondents’ perceptions when the data are grouped according to gender. Results revealed that the perceptions of the respondents in the dimensions of interaction and learning environment are "neutral". Further, it was found that there was no significant difference established on both dimensions when respondents were grouped according to gender.
