Abstract
The preservation of cultural heritage and the conservation of historical artefacts are essential for maintaining both the concrete and intangible aspects of human history. This study performs a comprehensive literature analysis from 2020 to 2024, analysing current methods, methodologies, and problems in cultural heritage preservation and item conservation. Principal themes encompass preventive conservation, digital advancements, ethical considerations, and sustainability in preservation. The review underscores advancements in scientific methodologies, the incorporation of technology in conservation efforts, and the increasing focus on community engagement and ethical involvement in heritage management. The results offer essential insights into the interdisciplinary methods required for safeguarding cultural assets in a progressively intricate global environment.
