Abstract

The article examines the process of developing future teachers’ professional interest through the integration of pedagogical disciplines within higher education. Drawing on theoretical and empirical research, the author identifies key pedagogical, psychological, motivational, and organizational factors that influence students’ professional orientation and engagement in teaching. The study emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of pedagogy and its close connection with social and natural sciences, highlighting the role of integrated teaching methods in strengthening students’ cognitive, creative, and reflective competencies. Integration is analyzed as both a goal and a mechanism of education, ensuring the unity of theoretical and practical knowledge, fostering professional self-development, and increasing the overall quality and efficiency of teacher education. The paper proposes a multi-level model of integration—ranging from intra-disciplinary to transdisciplinary levels—supported by technological and methodological innovations in the pedagogical process.
