Abstract
This article examines the history of the establishment of the first museum in the city of Bukhara and analyzes the socio-political and cultural factors that led to its emergence. Through a study of the early activities of the museum, the processes of collecting and preserving historical monuments, archaeological findings, and samples of cultural heritage are explored. In addition, the article highlights the role of the museum in the cultural life of Bukhara, as well as its significance in the formation and development of the field of museology. Based on the history of the first museum’s activities, particular attention is paid to issues related to the preservation of national cultural heritage and its dissemination to the broader public.
