Abstract

Phraseological units reflect the historical, cultural, ethical, andintellectual worldview of a people. Specifically, the phraseological application ofaxiological lexemes such as “yaxshi” (good) and “yomon” (bad) illustrates howcultures conceptualize moral virtue and vice. In both English and Uzbek, the idiomaticrepresentation of these values necessitates a comparative-pragmatic and linguoculturalapproach in linguistic research. Significant theoretical contributions to the study ofnational phraseological features have been made by numerous scholars. Notably, N.N.Amosova emphasized contextual relationships in idioms, while A.V. Kunin proposedtheir classification based on linguocultural criteria.
